So here we have another cruise ship that regularly swings through the port of San Diego to replenish their buffet inputs and allow their patrons to embark/disembark/shop in highly touristy shops, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a jewell in the Holland America crown ... or something.

This 936ft (285M) beast cruises at 22 knots and has a crew of over 1800 underpaid folks serving a passenger capacity of 800 face-stuffing adventurers. That's a whole lot of fake smiling!

A crew of 1800 to serve only 800 passengers? That seems a bit.. much.

I haven't, no. I don't think I'm old enough yet ;)

j/k I was feeling very snarky when I wrote this post. I know some cruises are awesome. My in-laws to my kids of a National Geographic cruise to Alaska that was particularly awesome a couple years back. It was on their (relatively) small cruise ship that can navigate Alaska's fjords and littoral waterways the larger vessels can't make. Neat stuff.

no worries! My girlfriend (now wife) and I went on one during my sophomore year of college. It was a Christmas cruise and it was a great way to relax.
